It's a very small book--only 4-1/2" by 7-1/4". Therefore, I was surprised to discover a copyright date of 2005, so it's actually fairly recent. There are no phographs or color in it, but there are 42 black and white plates of leaves, twigs, and seedpods. Many of t|About the Author|George A. Petrides is the author of the Peterson Field Guides to eastern and western trees and a former professor of wildlife ecology at Michigan State University.
